keep the change | $20 budget - August

August purchase from Old Navy.

if you can't see the video CLICK HERE.

since this has got to be the most boring thing you've ever witnessed in the name of video blogging, i thought now would be a good time to tell you a little bit about what's going on in my world.

i've been working a temp gig since the beginning of August. and before i go on - let me say this:

if you blog, have a full-time job, AND a family - - - you. are. the shit!

i got nothing but love and respect for your grind Nellie and Cam...this here ain't easy by no means.

i was doing really good with getting a post out to you every Monday and staying on top of reading your blogs and commenting, but then other personal stuff crept in and that was all she wrote. seriously.

if you feel like i've been neglecting you, now you know why. by the time i figure out how to manage all of this, the assignment will probably be ending! FYI: i'm slated to be there until mid December.

so now can you let me off the hook for buying these lifeless flats?!

  2. Girl I know how you feel. With me working 30-35 hours a week and looking for a full time job, blogging has been given a new priority, but I'm not giving up. Ballerina flats, I love them but they are too flat for me. Now my girls love them and can wear them all day. I need a little more support, can't do too flat and definitely can't do stilettos. I need to go by Old Navy for them and see what they have for the girls.

  3. Girl I ask the same questions. If I had a job I would be ghost. If Focus Dezigns start picking up more I am going to have to give up a blog or two. I already stopped guest posting on a few sites and concentrating on getting regular contributors for the mag so I can just roll out posts for Say What

Shoes are super cute I have wide feet so I can't wear a lot of different shoes *cries*

  4. Those are really cute shoes, and I'm a big fan of flats. Hang in there and just do what you have to do! :)

  5. I hope your sprain is getting better! My swelling is mostly gone, but the joint is so weak. Still causes me constant pain :(

I love your flats, especially the nude ones. Was wondering where you were, but I always feel weird asking online friends like... are you all right? hello? I don't know, maybe it's just me.

    1. tell me about it. i started blogging in 2008 when i didn't have a job and could focus solely on writing and building my freelance career...this is a very rude awakening!

  7. Blogging is hard work. Balancing the two is tricky and sometimes leave my blog without posts for a few days. I wish I could write full time though.

  8. Donna! Lifeless flats, you slay me! Congrats on the temp gig. And don't worry, I took a hiatus this summer to MOVE. Yes, we sold our house and were homeless longer than anticipated before we were able to find our new home. I totally understand! I hope to see you back soon!
